Made in the USA gone Away

This is so sad but true. The sign of a well made mark is 'MADE IN THE USA'. However how much longer will we see this in vintage clothing anymore? Most of the vintage we offer on GlamourSavvy and Glamoursurf is made in the USA. I find it sad to see that the majority of swimwear manufacturing has moved offshore. And not only swimwear but clothing in general. Lost jobs, lost revenue, lost quality. What's your opinion?

ah, it is so depressing that things are just not made here anymore! It is mostly because cheap is the cost of manufacturers over-seas and when times are dire, people look towards money rather than morals...I'm a lingerie designer in san francisco and I believe in having things made right here, under my nose. Literally in San Francisco. I just think that it is so convenient and really honors the city I live in to be able to support it by having everything made locally.
