LOVE IT! This ad for
Warners Merry Widow dates to 1955. I stumbled upon this over at Jessica's
My Vintage Vogue newly designed website. If you've never visited it, you really must. Jessica has amassed a very large collection of vintage images from advertising, glamour photos, catalogues and pattern books. I happened to stop in my tracks with this one in the
lingerie department. Look at those tiny waists! And I love that it's sorta Halloween Vogue.
If you want to read more about Jessica, we conducted an
interview with her in 2009. But do yourself a favor and go check out her new website!

I often wonder why more companies don't reusee their old TV ads ( I love the 1980s Christmas ad for cornflakes shown in the UK ). And now I wonder why more companies don't reuse their print ads that is just beautiful.
OOOOOO!!!! Have have a little dream about one day finding one of those Merry Widows (that fits me). Gorgeous!!!
