Edwardian Fashions from McCalls Magazine circa 1911

Ever wondered what fashion looked like in 1911? Here you go, I've taken pictures of many of the pages from a supply of McCalls magazines published in 1911. But the real reason that these sparked my interest was the cover from august of 1911, check it!

I just adore this, she's wading in her pretty bathing costume, double breasted, wide sailor collar and tie to boot. And doesn't that look like the NRA eagle on her dickie? The signature on the painting looks like Edwin Thomas, but sadly I can not find any information on him. As always, you can click on the images to enlarge them.

There are also some playful illustration included in each one. Tons of fun advertisements and articles, directions for needlework etc. I've just recently put these up for sale as a group in my ETSY shop. You can see that listing here.
