1952 Window Displays by Joset Walker - Rompers, Sunsuits & Dresses

For you historical fans, here are a couple of Lord and Taylor Window display photographs of 1952 fashions by Joset Walker. You all know by know my love of her designs, right? She's a classmate of Claire McCardell, another favorite of mine. And how appropriate is this window dress display for Fathers day?

These are photographs from New School Archives and Special Collections Digital Archive 1932-1938. I'm not sure why the collection is titled in the 30s when the pictures are stating 1950s. I've attempted contacting the historian of the site to clarify but have yet to receive an answer. Certainly the swimwear designs are not 1950s, perhaps Joset was recreating another time period.

And just so you know just what this fabulous designer looked like back in the day. She's so pretty!

Happy Fathers Day to all my readers! xo
